Is oatmeal bad for weight loss?

I've been hitting the gym and trying to eat healthier to lose weight. My trainer suggested oats, but a friend said it can actually be bad for weight loss because of carbs. Is oatmeal bad for weight loss, or is it good?

No way, bro. I've been eating oats for 6 months now and dropped almost 5kg. The key is to avoid those instant chocolate or strawberry flavored packs because they are loaded with sugar. Buy plain rolled oats and you're good.

When I went to Apollo for my weight management plan, the clinical nutritionist told me that oats are highly recommended because of the fiber content. But everyone's metabolic rate is different. You should get a proper diet chart made by a doctor to be sure.

For weight loss, I always suggest natural things like warm lemon water in the morning and a bowl of simple oats porridge. It keeps your bowel movements clean too. But if your weight gain is sudden or due to hormonal issues, please see a doctor first.

I totally get it, sometimes you eat healthy foods like oats and still feel like you aren't losing weight, which is so frustrating. Don't worry, oats are definitely good for you. Just give your body some time to adapt to the new diet.

I see this question a lot in our group. Oatmeal is actually one of the best foods for weight loss because it keeps your stomach full for a longer time, preventing mid-day cravings. Just make sure to cook it in water or skimmed milk.

Oats are excellent for sustained energy before a workout. If your doctor allows regular exercise, try having a small bowl of oats an hour before a brisk walk or jog. It gives great stamina without feeling heavy.

Oats are not bad at all, it's how people prepare them that makes them bad. If you are going to load your bowl with honey, dry fruits, and peanut butter, you will gain weight. Keep it simple and track your portions.
