Is non alcoholic beer safe for pregnancy?

A friend of mine is pregnant and was asking about non-alcoholic beer as a substitute for regular drinks. We're both wondering if it's genuinely safe to consume during pregnancy without any risks. Just need some clarity on this.

Look, why do you want to take a chance? Non-alcoholic beer still has around 0.5% alcohol in most cases, which is not good for the baby. Just stay away from it for these nine months and stick to plain coconut water.

I was also craving the taste of beer last week and was looking at these zero-alcohol options, but then I got too scared to try them. Did anyone else actually drink them during their pregnancy without any issues? I ended up just having club soda instead because I was paranoid.

You can survive nine months without the taste of hops, trust me! The baby doesn't need to start partying this early in the womb anyway. Stick to apple juice in a fancy glass, it looks exactly like beer and won't keep you up worrying at night.

My wife had all sorts of weird cravings during her pregnancy, but we never risked these fancy 'zero' beers. They are mostly sugar and empty calories anyway, which just adds to the bloating. Better to stick to traditional mint-nimbu soda and save the beer for later years!

During pregnancy, fetal safety is the utmost priority. Many 'non-alcoholic' beverages still contain trace levels of ethanol and high amounts of additives. It is highly recommended to consult your gynecologist before consuming any such specialty drinks.

During this beautiful phase of pregnancy, it is best to keep the mother's body as pure as possible. Processed drinks, even those labeled non-alcoholic, carry artificial flavors and carbonation. Nourish your child with natural coconut water and warm milk instead.

I can only speak from my own experience when I was pregnant two years ago. My doctor told me to avoid non-alcoholic beers because of the potential trace alcohol levels. I decided it wasn't worth the risk and stuck to fresh ginger ale instead.
