Is milk thistle safe during pregnancy?

I'm pregnant with my first baby and trying to be very careful about what I consume. A friend recommended milk thistle for general health, but I'm unsure if it's safe for me and the baby.

I'm all for natural remedies and supplements for general health and fitness. Milk thistle is great for liver support normally. But for pregnancy? That's a whole different ballgame. The best 'supplement' during pregnancy is good diet and doctor-approved exercise. Always ask your gynaecologist about any herbal stuff.

During pregnancy, it's best to be extra cautious with everything you consume, even seemingly harmless herbs. While milk thistle is often used for liver health, its safety during pregnancy is not fully established or routinely recommended. Please consult your gynaecologist before taking any supplement.

Betiyan, garbhwati hone par bohot savdhani rakhni chahiye. Doodh thistle jaisi cheezein shayad acchi hon, par bachhe ke liye kya sahi hai, woh sirf doctor hi bata sakte hain. Bina puche koi naya dawa mat lena, haan?

When my wife was pregnant, we were so careful about everything she ate or took. The doctor was very clear about not taking any herbal supplements unless specifically approved. Milk thistle might be good normally, but during pregnancy, the risks are higher. Don't risk it, always check with the gynaecologist.

Haan na, pregnancy mein har choti cheez bhi soch ke leni padti hai. Milk thistle ke baare mein maine bhi suna hai, liver ke liye accha hai bolte hain. Par for expecting mothers, it's always best to ask your gynaecologist directly. Don't take chances, ho na?

The emotional toll of being so careful during pregnancy is immense, and you're doing great by asking! It's so hard to know what's truly safe. For something like milk thistle, which isn't a standard prenatal, please rely only on your doctor's advice. They can provide peace of mind and safety for you and your baby.

Hey! I totally get wanting to use natural things during pregnancy. Milk thistle sounds appealing for health. But honestly, most doctors advise against herbal supplements in pregnancy unless absolutely necessary and prescribed. It's just not worth taking a chance with your baby's health. Please ask your gynaecologist first!
