Is macrobid safe in pregnancy?

My doctor gave me Macrobid for a bladder infection. Now I'm confused because I think I might be pregnant. Is Macrobid safe in pregnancy, or should I talk to my doctor again?

Generally, Macrobid is safe in the first and second trimesters, but we avoid it near term (after 37 weeks). Definitely run it by your gynac to be safe.

Don't take tension. If the doctor wrote it, it is safe. Just take it with food so you don't get an upset stomach.

UTIs are the worst party crashers during pregnancy! Yes, Macrobid is safe, just make friends with your water bottle for a few days.

I felt so guilty taking antibiotics during my pregnancy, crying for hours. But untreated UTIs can cause early labor, so please take the medicine safely.

While taking antibiotics like Macrobid, focus on good rest and hydration. Don't push yourself too hard with workouts until the infection clears.
