Is lysine safe during pregnancy?

I'm in my first trimester and my doctor recommended some supplements. I was looking into lysine for another health issue, but I'm unsure if it's safe now. Is lysine safe to take during pregnancy?

Never take any amino acid or protein supplements during pregnancy just by reading about them online. There is not enough safety data, so verify this directly with your gynecologist.

Beta, during pregnancy it is always better to get nutrients from natural food. Eat regular milk, curd, and dal which have natural lysine rather than eating tablets.

Why take extra supplements and increase your pharmacy bill? Just stick to the iron, calcium, and folic acid that your doctor already gave you.

I understand wanting to make sure everything is safe. I have PCOS and had to be super careful with supplements, so I would suggest not taking Lysine unless your gynac specifically prescribes it.

Please be very careful. I had a difficult pregnancy and learnt that even normal supplements can sometimes cause issues, so ask your doctor before taking lysine.

Suno beti, aisi halat mein koi bhi nayi dawai mat khao. Doctor saheb se puch kar hi sab karna chahiye, apna khyal rakho.

I totally get how stressful it is to check every single ingredient when you are pregnant. I used to panic too, but honestly, it is best to leave this to your doctor to avoid anxiety.

During my wife's pregnancy, our doctor told us to stop all non-essential dietary supplements. We only stuck to what was prescribed to be safe.
