Is lower back pain during early pregnancy normal?

I just found out I'm pregnant, barely 6 weeks along. I've been experiencing some lower back pain, not severe, but it's there. Is this kind of back pain normal during these early stages of pregnancy, or should I be concerned?

Yes, it is very normal. During my first pregnancy, my lower back started hurting from week six itself because of all the hormonal changes shifting my balance. Just make sure to sit with a small cushion supporting your lower back and avoid lifting anything heavy.

I completely understand how terrifying every little pain feels during the early weeks, I was constantly googling and panicking too. But a dull backache is actually very common as your uterus starts expanding. Try to breathe easy, you are doing fine.

Haan yaar, bilkul normal hai. Meri wife ko bhi starting ke months me kafi back pain rehta tha. Dr. ne bola tha posture theek rakho aur jyada khade mat ho. Aap bhi thoda rest karo aur tension mat lo na.

I’m reading up on early symptoms since we are planning soon, and almost every forum says lower back pain is super common in the first trimester. It seems your ligaments are loosening up to support the baby, which makes total sense.

I panicked so much when I felt back pain in week seven and rushed to my gynaecologist thinking something was wrong. She laughed gently and said it’s just the body preparing. It went away after a few weeks, so don't worry too much.

From what my wife went through, the body basically rewires itself from day one, so some creaking and aching is bound to happen! It's very standard. Just don't let her do all the household chores alone, let the husband help out with the heavy stuff.

Hey, don't stress yourself out. It is a very normal part of the journey as your body adapts to the new changes. Just make sure you are resting well, eating nutritious food, and avoiding any sudden jerky movements. If the pain becomes too sharp, just call your doctor.
