Is lidocaine safe in pregnancy?

I had a minor procedure and the doctor mentioned using lidocaine. I'm also in my first trimester of pregnancy. Is lidocaine considered safe to use during pregnancy?

Yes, it is safe for local procedures like dental work or minor skin stitches. Just ensure you tell the doctor about your pregnancy so they can use the minimum required concentration without epinephrine if needed.

I know how scary it feels to agree to any medicine when you are pregnant. Lidocaine is generally safe for localized use, but please share your anxiety with your gynecologist so they can reassure you.

Don't stress too much about this! Local lidocaine doesn't enter your bloodstream in large amounts, so it is quite safe. Just have a quick chat with your gynaecologist to be completely relaxed.

It is safe for local medical use during pregnancy. Keep up your healthy lifestyle with light stretching and pregnancy-safe exercises to handle overall body aches naturally instead of using painkillers.

Haan na, pregnancy mein darr toh lagta hai koi bhi treatment se. Par local lidocaine safe hota hai, doctor log hamesha dhyan rakhte hain. Tension mat lo.
