Is lemongrass safe during pregnancy?

I'm in my first trimester and feeling quite nauseous. I've heard that lemongrass tea can help, but I'm worried about trying new things during pregnancy. Is lemongrass safe to consume while pregnant?

My wife is currently pregnant and we barely sleep, but one thing we learned is to avoid lemongrass tea. Apparently, large amounts can trigger contractions. Better to stick to plain milk or cardamom chai to be safe!

My cousin who was pregnant last year was told to stay away from lemongrass because it can cause complications. It is better to avoid it completely for a few months. Try ginger tea instead, it is much safer!

When my sister was pregnant, the gynecologists at Fortis explicitly told her to avoid lemongrass in concentrated forms like tea. Please ask your doctor clearly before consuming any herbal infusions, as safety rules in pregnancy are very strict.

Hello, I am newly pregnant and was gifted some herbal tea containing lemongrass. Is even a small cup unsafe, or should I stop using it completely? I am very nervous about making any mistakes.

Congratulations on the pregnancy! It is usually recommended to avoid lemongrass tea because it can have strong uterine stimulating effects. Better to stick to safer options like fresh coconut water! 😊
