Is kombucha safe during pregnancy?

I'm in my first trimester and my friend suggested kombucha for digestion. I'm a bit hesitant because of the fermentation process. Is kombucha really safe to have while I'm pregnant?

Listen to me, don't worry or stress about missing out on these drinks right now. During pregnancy, it's really best to avoid kombucha because it is unpasteurized and can contain tiny traces of alcohol from fermentation. Your health and the baby's safety are most important, so stick to fresh, cooked foods for now.

I had major cravings for fizzy drinks during my second trimester and almost bought a bottle of kombucha. But then my doc reminded me that it's raw and fermented, which carries a risk of bacteria. I shifted to freshly squeezed lemonade with soda instead, and it totally satisfied my cravings safely!

It is always better to be extra cautious when you are expecting. Since kombucha has live bacteria and is often unpasteurized, most doctors advise staying away from it. Wishing you a very healthy and safe pregnancy ahead.

Having PCOS made my pregnancy journey very delicate, so I tried to avoid anything that could upset my stomach or hormonal balance. Since kombucha contains active yeast and some caffeine, I chose to avoid it to prevent any gut irritation. I always suggest discussing any fermented food with your doctor first.

I had to monitor my diet so strictly during my pregnancy due to gestational diabetes. Kombucha not only has potential bacterial risks due to raw fermentation, but also has hidden sugars that can spike your levels. It is much safer to avoid it entirely and consult your gynecologist.

I just delivered my healthy baby boy last month! Throughout my pregnancy, I had to cut out kombucha completely because of the unpasteurized yeast and trace alcohol content. It was hard to resist, but looking at my healthy baby now, making those small sacrifices was absolutely worth it.

I accidentally drank half a glass of homebrewed kombucha before I knew I was pregnant and panicked for days. When I told my doctor, she reassured me that a small amount is unlikely to cause any harm, but advised me to stop drinking it for the rest of my term. Don't worry, just stop now and you'll be fine.
