Is just walking good for weight loss?

I've gained some weight recently, especially after my second delivery. My friends are all hitting the gym, but I don't really have the time or energy for intense workouts. Just wondering if walking daily is enough to actually lose some kilos, ya know?

I totally get wanting to know if walking is enough! It feels manageable, right? And yes, absolutely, walking is excellent for weight loss, especially consistent brisk walking. It burns calories, improves metabolism, and is low-impact. But remember, diet plays a huge role too!

I'm just starting out, so walking sounds less intimidating. Does it have to be fast walking, or can gentle walks also help? And how long should one walk daily to see some results for weight loss?

Walking is definitely beneficial for weight loss, and it's great for overall health too. However, if you have underlying conditions like thyroid issues, weight loss can be trickier. Always ensure your thyroid levels are managed with regular tests and doctor follow-ups, and then add walking to your routine. It helps a lot, but for thyroid, medical management is primary.

Walking is an excellent and accessible form of exercise for weight loss. It increases your metabolic rate and burns calories without putting too much strain on your joints. Combine it with a balanced diet. Aim for at least 30-45 minutes of brisk walking most days of the week, and remember to stay hydrated.
