Is jardiance a weight loss drug?

A relative of mine who is diabetic mentioned that their doctor said Jardiance might help with weight loss too. I'm trying to lose some weight myself. Is Jardiance a weight loss drug, or mainly for diabetes?

While Jardiance is primarily for diabetes, some people do experience weight loss as a side effect because it helps the body excrete excess glucose. However, it's definitely not a weight loss drug first and foremost. For weight loss, focusing on a balanced vegetarian diet and regular exercise is key, not relying on a diabetes medicine.

Don't just believe everything you read online, especially about medicines. Jardiance is prescribed for diabetes. If someone is losing weight on it, it's likely a side effect, not its primary purpose. You should never take a diabetes drug just for weight loss. Always confirm with a qualified doctor.

Yaar, actually Jardiance is mainly for type 2 diabetes, and it also has benefits for heart and kidney. Weight loss can be a side effect because it makes you pee out extra sugar, which means fewer calories. But it's not a dedicated weight loss drug, haan? Don't use it for that specifically.

Oh, this is such an important question! I've seen some discussions where people mention weight loss with Jardiance, which makes me anxious that some might misuse it. It's a diabetes medicine, and any weight loss is a secondary effect. Taking it without medical necessity can be very dangerous. Please consult a doctor for proper guidance.

From what I understand, Jardiance is for managing blood sugar in diabetes, and yes, some people do find they lose a little weight with it. But true, sustainable weight loss comes from consistent practice of yoga, mindful eating, and listening to your body. Medicine is for specific conditions, not general weight reduction without proper guidance.

As someone with PCOS, I know how frustrating weight management can be and how tempting it is to look for easy answers. Jardiance is primarily for diabetes. While weight loss can be a secondary effect, it's not a dedicated weight loss solution and shouldn't be used for that purpose without a doctor's specific prescription and supervision. Be careful, yaar.

It's natural to look for solutions for weight loss, and sometimes information about medicines gets mixed up. Jardiance is a medication for type 2 diabetes, and it can cause some weight loss as a side effect. But it's not its primary use. Please don't consider it purely as a weight loss drug and always talk to a doctor.

I've been managing diabetes for years, and my doctor explained Jardiance. It's an important diabetes medicine. While some patients do experience modest weight loss because of how it works (you excrete glucose), it is NOT categorized as a weight loss drug. Do not take it off-label; it's very serious. Consult your endocrinologist for suitable weight management options.

Haan, log bolte hain ki isse weight loss hota hai, but actually, Jardiance is for diabetes. Thoda weight loss ho sakta hai as a side effect, not its main purpose. Agar weight loss karna hai toh diet aur exercise pe focus karo, na? Doctor se pooch kar hi kuch lena.

Jardiance is a diabetes medication. Period. Any weight loss effect is a secondary benefit, not its primary indication. Taking it without diabetes, and without a doctor's supervision, just for weight loss, is highly irresponsible and potentially dangerous. Do not do it. Consult a qualified medical professional for weight management.
