Is it good to workout before bed for weight loss?

I'm trying to lose some weight, and my schedule is really packed. The only time I can fit in a workout is late evening, right before bed. Is it good to workout before bed for weight loss, or will it affect my sleep?

Working out right before bed can actually mess with your sleep cycle, yaar. Your body gets so pumped up and hot that falling asleep becomes a task. It's better to finish any intense workouts at least 2-3 hours before you plan to crash.

If you don't get time during the day, a light walk after dinner is a very simple and practical solution. But avoid heavy weightlifting or intense cardio right before bed, as it keeps your heart rate high. For weight loss, consistent moderate activity is more than enough.

I totally get it, with busy work schedules, late evening is often the only free time we get to focus on fitness. If that is the case for you, try to stick to low-intensity exercises like yoga or light stretching before bed. It helps you burn some calories and actually relaxes your body for better sleep.

I am planning to start some basic home workouts for my fitness journey. But I only get free time after 9 PM after finishing all my chores. Will doing simple bodyweight exercises so late in the evening stop me from sleeping well?

Listen, for sustainable weight loss, the total activity in your day matters much more than the exact time you workout. If late evenings are your only option, keep it moderate and don't push yourself to exhaustion. Good sleep is just as crucial for fat loss, so make sure you don't sacrifice your rest.
