Is iceberg lettuce good for weight loss?

I'm trying to lose some weight, and I've started eating more salads. My friend told me that iceberg lettuce doesn't have many nutrients and is mostly water. Is iceberg lettuce actually good for weight loss, or should I pick other greens?

In my experience, iceberg lettuce is very low in calories, which makes it decent for weight loss, but it doesn't have much nutrition. Don't fall into the trap of eating just salads; a balanced diet with our traditional rotis, dal, and sabzi is much more sustainable for long-term health.

I am trying to start a salad diet for weight loss, but I am very confused. Is iceberg lettuce actually good to eat daily, or is it just water? Should I mix it with other vegetables to make it more filling, or is it okay to eat it alone?

When my daughter was trying to lose weight safely, we added iceberg lettuce to her meals to make her wraps and sandwiches crunchier without adding extra fat. It is very practical because kids like the texture, and it keeps them from craving high-calorie snacks between meals.

Hey, don't stress too much about finding the perfect salad! Iceberg lettuce is super cheap and has almost zero calories, so it's great for volume eating when you are trying to cut down. Just toss in some cucumber, paneer, and a squeeze of lemon, and you are good to go!

Look, iceberg lettuce is fine for weight loss because it has no calories, but don't expect it to do miracles. If you drown it in high-fat mayonnaise and cheese dressings, you will end up gaining weight instead. Keep the dressing simple with lemon and salt, and eat it alongside your regular home food.

My mother always tells me to eat local greens like spinach and drumstick leaves for good health, but my nutritionist doctor said iceberg lettuce is also a fine addition if you want a low-calorie crunch. It has a lot of water content which helps you feel full, just don't load it with heavy creamy dressings.

I was researching weight loss foods and found that iceberg lettuce is basically 96% water. So while it won't make you gain weight, it also won't give you many vitamins compared to darker greens like spinach or romaine lettuce. It seems like a decent crunchy base, but we definitely need to add protein to it.
