Is hydroxyzine safe in pregnancy?

My doctor prescribed hydroxyzine for me before I knew I was pregnant. Now that I know, I'm worried. Is it safe to take this medication while expecting a baby?

Since I have thyroid issues, my pregnancy was already high-risk and I had to do blood tests every month. My doctor strictly told me not to take any antihistamines like hydroxyzine without checking first. Please follow up with your doctor before taking it.

Pregnancy medication is highly sensitive and hydroxyzine safety depends on which trimester you are in. Don't waste time looking for answers on internet forums. Call your gynecologist's clinic directly and get an official answer.

Look sister, during pregnancy, do not take even a simple paracetamol without asking your doctor. Hydroxyzine is a strong medicine, so please don't experiment with it. Just go to your doctor and ask what is safe.

Hey there! Please don't take hydroxyzine without asking your doctor first 💛. Pregnancy is a super sensitive time, so it's always better to get a green light from your gynac! Wishing you a very healthy and happy pregnancy! 😊

In our days, we relied on natural herbs and proper rest during pregnancy rather than tablets. Hydroxyzine is a heavy medicine and might not be safe for the little baby inside. Please consult your doctor before swallowing any such pills.

It is simple: hydroxyzine is not a standard over-the-counter drug you should take during pregnancy. There are much safer alternatives available for allergies or anxiety. Get a proper consultation with your OB-GYN before taking anything.
