Is honey better than sugar for weight loss?

I'm trying to lose some weight after my pregnancy, and someone told me to switch from sugar to honey. Is honey actually better, or is it just another marketing gyaan? I use quite a bit in my chai everyday.

Honestly, for weight loss, the quantity matters ho na. Thoda honey is fine, but jyada bhi not good. It's still sugar at the end of the day. Moderation is key.

I used to think honey was a magic bullet for weight loss too! But my dietician explained it's still calories. For me, cutting down on processed sugars and just being mindful of portions worked better than swapping sugar for honey.

For me, honey just adds a different flavour to my tea or desserts, it's not a weight loss tool! I love its taste, but if I want to lose weight, I focus more on controlling my snack cravings and eating ghar ka khana. Honey is just a small treat!

Honey is definitely not some magic solution for weight loss. It's just a different type of sweetener with calories. For simple weight management, controlling portion sizes and adding more daliya and sabzi in your diet works better than stressing over honey vs sugar.

Be careful, yaar. I thought 'natural' honey was harmless for my diet, but I ended up gaining weight because I overdid it. It's still a form of sugar. If you're serious about weight loss, consult a nutritionist or doctor to get a personalized plan. Don't just rely on general advice.

With my thyroid, weight management is always a struggle. I learned that anything that spikes blood sugar, whether it's sugar or honey, isn't ideal. It's best to discuss with your doctor or an endocrinologist what kind of sweeteners work for you, especially if you have other health conditions.

From my experience, no, not really 'better' for weight loss in a big way. Both are simple sugars. Honey has some nutrients but it's still calorically dense. Focus on reducing overall sugar intake, not just swapping one for another. Small changes like black coffee instead of sweetened milk tea helped me more.
