Is himalayan salt good for weight loss?

I'm trying to cut down on processed foods and eat healthier to lose weight. My friend suggested using Himalayan salt instead of regular table salt. I'm wondering if Himalayan salt is good for weight loss, or if it's just a healthier option.

My mother-in-law always said natural things are better, so we use Himalayan salt in our cooking. But for weight loss, kanna, it's really about eating healthy and moving your body, not just the salt. The doctor also said too much salt of any kind is not good for BP, so moderation is key.

We switched to Himalayan salt at home for general health, thinking it might be better. But for weight loss, my kid's dietitian emphasized a balanced diet and regular exercise. The salt itself won't make a difference there. It's more about reducing overall sodium from processed foods.

As a diabetic, I am very careful about everything I eat. While Himalayan salt is considered natural, it's still sodium. For weight loss, focusing on whole foods, controlling portions, and reducing overall sugar and sodium intake is far more effective. Always check with your doctor for specific dietary needs.

I heard a lot of buzz about Himalayan salt and thought maybe it was some kind of secret for health. I use it now, but I haven't noticed any major change in my weight. Has anyone actually seen a difference just by switching salts? I'm curious if it's just marketing.

From a dietary perspective, Himalayan salt is primarily sodium chloride, just like regular table salt. It won't directly contribute to weight loss. The focus should be on a calorie-controlled, balanced vegetarian diet with plenty of fiber and nutrients, and mindful portion sizes. Avoid over-salting, regardless of the type.

Please be careful about claims like this. I've seen people try all sorts of things for weight loss without proper guidance and end up with health issues. Himalayan salt is fine to use in moderation, but it's not a weight loss solution. For any weight concerns, always, always consult a doctor or a registered dietitian before changing your diet significantly.
