Is going to bed hungry good for weight loss?

Someone told me that going to bed hungry helps with weight loss. Is this true? I'm trying to shed a few kilos and looking for effective methods.

Honestly, it is a terrible idea and totally unsustainable. You will just end up overeating the next morning because your body goes into starvation mode. Focus on a high-protein dinner instead of starving yourself.

I tried this for a month and it only gave me severe acidity and sleepless nights. Instead of sleeping empty stomach, just have a small cup of warm turmeric milk or some roasted makhana if you feel hungry late at night.

Weight loss is all about your daily calorie deficit, not about sleeping hungry. If you hit your macro targets during the day, a light pre-bed snack like casein protein or a handful of almonds is actually great for muscle recovery.

I used to do this during college and it ruined my sleep schedule completely. You dont have to starve to lose weight, trust me. Just keep your dinner light like oats khichdi or soup so you sleep comfortably.

Bro, sleeping hungry just makes me dream about butter chicken all night. I tried it and ended up ordering midnight biryani so many times. Just eat a light salad or curd before bed, it is much safer.

Been there, done that, and ended up gaining more weight later. The trick is to finish your dinner 2-3 hours before sleeping so your food is digested, but you aren't starving when your head hits the pillow.

Sleeping hungry can disrupt your cortisol levels and blood sugar, which actually slows down metabolism. If you are struggling with a weight loss plan, it is best to consult a registered dietitian who can make a balanced meal chart for you.
