Is garlic good for weight loss?

Been trying to lose some weight after my second delivery, and someone suggested adding raw garlic to my diet. Can garlic actually help with weight loss, or is it just a myth?

Beti, garlic has always been in our kitchens, good for health in general. Some say it helps with digestion and metabolism, which can help with weight. But just eating garlic won't make you thin. You need good food and to walk a lot also. It's one part, not the whole solution.

I can only share what I've tried. I've included garlic in my diet for years, mainly for flavour and general health benefits. I don't really attribute my weight loss, if any, solely to garlic. It's part of my overall healthy eating habits and regular exercise.

My doctor, a renowned dietitian, explained that while garlic has compounds that can support metabolism and fat burning, it's not a primary weight-loss ingredient on its own. It acts more as a supportive element within a calorie-controlled diet and regular exercise regimen. Think of it as a helpful spice, not a magic pill.

My grandmother used to say garlic is good for the body. For weight loss, many people believe it boosts metabolism. It can be a part of a healthy diet, but for actual weight loss, it needs to be combined with proper diet control and exercise. Always consult a nutritionist or doctor for a balanced plan.

If garlic alone made you lose weight, we'd all be smelling like a delicious curry and fitting into our old jeans! 😂 It's a healthy addition to food, but for actual weight loss, sadly, you still have to eat less pizza and move more. No shortcuts, boss!
