Is fruit diet good for weight loss?

My cousin tried a fruit diet and lost a lot of weight quickly. I'm thinking of trying it too. Is a fruit diet good for weight loss in the long run, or is it just a temporary fix?

Oh, this question makes me anxious! A fruit-only diet sounds so tempting for quick weight loss, but I worry about not getting enough protein or healthy fats. I've read it can be too restrictive and hard to sustain. Has anyone tried it long-term? I always feel like I'm doing something wrong.

A fruit diet? Sounds like a recipe for constant hunger pangs and probably a trip to the washroom every five minutes. I mean, fruits are good, but ONLY fruits? My body would stage a protest. I'd rather just eat less of everything else and keep my sanity.

Nah, man, I don't think a fruit-only diet is sustainable or even healthy for long-term weight loss. You'll miss out on so many essential nutrients, like protein and good fats. You might lose weight quickly, but it's probably mostly water, and you'll gain it back super fast. Better to eat balanced, you know.

Fruit diet for weight loss? Ho na, short-term ke liye shayad thoda weight kam ho jaaye, but long term mein body ko sab nutrients chahiye hote hain. Only fruits toh difficult hai. Protein aur fiber bhi important hai, na? Balance rakhna chahiye.

If you have diabetes, a fruit-only diet would be quite dangerous due to the high sugar content, even if it's natural sugar. It can cause blood sugar spikes. For weight loss, a diabetic needs a carefully planned diet that balances carbs, proteins, and fats, with careful fruit selection and portion control. Please don't try such diets without a doctor's supervision.

While fruits are healthy, an exclusive fruit diet may not provide all the nutrients you need for healthy weight loss. A balanced diet is usually better.

I tried something similar in college, thinking 'fruit = healthy = weight loss'! Big mistake. I was constantly hungry, dizzy, and just felt weak. It's not a practical way to lose weight. You need a mix of everything for your body to function properly. Focus on whole foods, not just one type.

When I had weight issues, my doctor at Apollo Hospital clearly told me that extreme diets like only fruits are not advised. They can cause nutritional imbalances and are not sustainable. Always ask your doctor or a registered dietitian for a proper, balanced diet plan. Don't experiment with your health.

I keep seeing these 'fruitarian' diets online, and they claim rapid weight loss. But then I read about nutrient deficiencies and how hard it is to get enough calories. Is it really effective without causing other health problems? I'm curious but also a bit skeptical.

A 'fruit diet' as in only fruits? That sounds extremely restrictive and potentially lacking in essential nutrients like protein and healthy fats. While fruits are healthy, an exclusive fruit diet might not be balanced or safe. It's crucial to consult a dietician or doctor before embarking on such a restrictive plan for your safety.

I tried a fruit-only diet once, thinking it would be a quick fix. It left me feeling constantly hungry, weak, and emotionally drained. It was so hard to stick to, and I ended up binging later. It's okay to struggle with diet plans, but please know that a balanced approach is usually better for your mental and physical health.

From my experience, relying only on fruits for weight loss isn't sustainable. I've seen friends try it, and they usually end up feeling tired and hungry, then gain the weight back. I find that a balanced diet with proper portions of all food groups, including fruits, works much better in the long run. Just my two cents.

My mother-in-law always says everything in moderation is best. A fruit diet might help initially, but for proper weight loss and health, your body needs more than just fruits - protein, good fats, other micronutrients. It's always best to speak with your doctor or a dietician for a proper plan, not just try these fad diets.

As a healthcare professional, I'd strongly advise against a fruit-only diet for weight loss. While fruits are nutritious, they don't provide adequate protein, healthy fats, or certain essential vitamins and minerals. This can lead to nutritional deficiencies, muscle loss, and other health issues. A balanced, calorie-controlled diet is much safer and more effective.

Absolutely not, a fruit diet is not good for sustainable weight loss. You'll lose water weight initially, but you'll be severely deficient in protein, healthy fats, and some vitamins. This leads to muscle loss and a very slow metabolism in the long run. Focus on balanced meals with lean protein, complex carbs, healthy fats, and plenty of veggies.
