Is famotidine safe in pregnancy?

My doctor suggested famotidine for my acid reflux, which has gotten worse since I became pregnant. I'm always cautious about medicines during this time. Can I safely take famotidine while pregnant, ya koi side effects ho sakte hain?

Please be very cautious. I had several health complications during my second term and realized that even basic over-the-counter medicines can sometimes cause issues if not monitored. You must ask your gynecologist before taking famotidine.

I am also in my first trimester and struggling with terrible acid reflux. Is famotidine better than taking normal antacid gels, or are those safer? If any experienced moms can guide me, I would appreciate it.

My wife had gestational diabetes and severe acidity, so we had to be extra careful with her medication. Her doctor did approve famotidine as safe, but only after reviewing her entire health profile. Never self-prescribe during this delicate time.

Pregnancy cravings can lead to some crazy spicy food choices, which obviously results in bad acidity! While famotidine is usually said to be safe, don't rely on it to digest heavy meals. Check with your doctor and try to eat milder foods.

On my health tracking app, famotidine is listed as generally low-risk during pregnancy. Still, the smart way is to upload your symptom log to your doctor's portal and let them prescribe it officially. Safety should always be digitally tracked and verified.

I have seen this question come up a lot in our group. Doctors widely prescribe famotidine for pregnancy heartburn when lifestyle changes don't work, and it has a very good safety record. Just call your clinic once to confirm the right dosage for you.
