Is emergency c safe during pregnancy?

I'm pregnant and feeling a bit sniffly. I usually take Emergen-C when I feel a cold coming on. Is 'Emergency C' safe to take during pregnancy, or should I avoid it completely?

Having PCOS has made me super cautious about what supplements I put in my body, especially during pregnancy when hormones are already all over the place. I would suggest avoiding Emergen-C because of the high vitamin dosage and asking your doc for a pregnancy-safe alternative.

I can't speak on the medical safety, but when I was pregnant, my doctor specifically told me to stop taking Emergen-C. She said the standard prenatal tablets I was already taking had all the Vitamin C my baby and I needed.

I am also quite new to all of this and feeling a bit overwhelmed with the do's and don'ts. I wanted to try Emergen-C for my fatigue, but now I am scared. Can we just drink regular coconut water instead for a safe energy boost?

It is always better to be safe than sorry when you are expecting. I would suggest avoiding these high-dose vitamin packets and just sticking to whatever your gynaecologist has prescribed for you.

I completely understand how stressful it is when you want to take something simple for a cold but worry about safety. Pregnancy anxiety is very real! Please don't stress, just skip the packet for now and call your doctor's clinic to get peace of mind.

Please do not self-diagnose or take random over-the-counter drinks while pregnant. Once, I ignored some mild symptoms and took random vitamins, which delayed my actual treatment and made things much worse. Always run everything by your doctor first.
