Is delsym safe during pregnancy?

I've been having a really bad cough and someone suggested Delsym. I'm pregnant right now, so I'm very cautious about what I take. Is this medicine safe during pregnancy, ya fir should I avoid it?

Delsym contains dextromethorphan. While it's generally considered low risk for coughs, during pregnancy, it's always best to be super careful with *any* medication. My advice would be to definitely check with your gynecologist or a pharmacist before taking it. They can advise based on your specific situation and trimester.

Oh, this is exactly the kind of question that makes me anxious! I always worry about taking anything while pregnant. Has anyone here actually taken Delsym during pregnancy and been advised by their doctor that it was okay? I'd feel better hearing real experiences, but still, always check with your own doctor!

Girl, pregnancy already has so many rules, right? For medicines like Delsym, it's a definite 'ask your doctor first' situation. What might be okay for some might not be for others, and they can suggest safer alternatives too. Don't stress, just make that call!

My wife got a nasty cough during her first trimester and we were so confused about what she could take. We almost just grabbed something off the shelf, but thankfully, we called the doctor first. Please, please do not take any over-the-counter medicine like Delsym without asking your gynaecologist. It's not worth the risk.

It is always best to check with your doctor before taking any medication during pregnancy. They can tell you if Delsym is safe for you and your baby. Please do not take chances.
