Is dairy bad for weight loss?

I'm on a weight loss journey and cutting down on a lot of things. Some people say dairy is bad for losing weight because of the fat content. Is dairy really something to avoid for weight loss?

My grandmother always used to say that pure homemade buttermilk is the best thing for digestion and weight management. However, when I started my weight loss journey, I checked with my doctor who said moderate curd and milk are totally fine as long as I track the overall daily calories.

Be kind to your body and don't look at food as your enemy. Dairy is natural and has nourished us for generations, so there is no need to fear it. Just eat with gratitude and awareness, and your body will find its natural, healthy balance.

Before you cut out dairy, please get your thyroid and basic blood markers checked by a lab. Sometimes slow weight loss is due to other issues, not dairy. It's always safer to let a professional examine your reports first.

I am also trying to lose weight and honestly, I get so confused about milk. I love my morning tea, but some people say milk causes bloating and slows down weight loss. Has anyone else actually noticed a difference after leaving chai and curd?

Not at all bad! In fact, a bowl of cold dahi with some fruits is the best mid-day snack to keep you full. Just don't add sugar and you are good to go! All the best on your fitness journey!

Actually, it's all about your daily calorie deficit. I track my food on HealthifyMe, and keeping paneer and curd in my diet helps me hit my daily protein target easily. Just stay away from full-fat milk and heavy cream, and you'll do great.
