In my experience helping members here, cycling burns more calories in a shorter time because of the higher intensity. However, walking is much easier to maintain as a lifelong habit. Choose cycling if you want quicker results, and walking if you want something gentle.
I am looking to start my weight loss journey and I'm a bit confused between these two. Does walking for one hour burn the same amount of fat as cycling for thirty minutes, or is cycling always better?
Over the last forty years, I have done both. Cycling kept my weight down when I was younger, but walking keeps me fit and active now without hurting my joints. Both work beautifully for weight loss as long as you do them daily and eat simple food.
Cycling is definitely faster for burning those calories 🚴♀️, but walking with some good music is so therapeutic too! Why not do both? Cycle on weekends and walk on weekdays to keep it fun! 🌟

For normal weight management, a brisk 45-minute walk in nature along with a simple diet works wonders. Cycling is also good but can sometimes cause back stiffness if the posture is wrong. If you ever feel severe chest tightness or joint pain during these activities, please consult a doctor immediately.
