With my slow thyroid, corn bread actually caused water retention and weight gain because it is dense in carbs and often contains butter. It is crucial to monitor your metabolism with regular thyroid tests and consult your doctor before choosing such heavy breads.

Listen, don't stress too much about corn bread being some magic weight loss food, because honestly it is not. It has quite a lot of calories! If you like it, have a small piece occasionally, but don't replace your regular rotis with it.

Bro, corn bread is basically loaded with carbs and sometimes sugar. I tried it during my gym diet phase and it didn't help my weight loss at all. Better to stick to normal oats or brown bread, much easier to track.

If corn bread helped in weight loss, I would have been a model by now! Sadly, it is quite heavy and calorie-dense. Better to stick to salads and leave the bread for fancy restaurant photos.

In our younger days, we ate freshly milled maize roti (makki ki roti) which has good fiber, but this modern corn bread has refined ingredients. For weight management, drinking lukewarm water with lemon in the morning is safer than changing to Western foods.

I have seen many people try corn bread thinking it is a healthy alternative, but it often contains baking powder, sugar, and fat. For effective weight loss, simple home-cooked meals with portion control work much better. Keep it basic and local.
