Is coq10 safe for pregnancy?

My friend who just had a baby told me about CoQ10, saying it helped her. I'm trying to conceive and was wondering if it's safe to take during pregnancy, ya know, in case I get pregnant soon?

I am newly married and planning a family, so I'm very new to all these supplement names. I heard CoQ10 is good for egg quality, but is it really unsafe once you actually get pregnant? I would love to know what your doctors advised you.

Don't take it unless prescribed. While CoQ10 is highly beneficial for IVF or fertility prep, doctors usually stop it once pregnancy is confirmed because there aren't enough large-scale safety trials. Stick to your doctor's prescription list.

Hey, relax and don't worry. It's totally normal to have questions about what's safe right now. Just pack up any extra supplements like CoQ10 and show them to your obstetrician at your next appointment. They will tell you exactly what your body needs.

I completely understand the anxiety of wanting to do everything perfectly during pregnancy. I was so scared of taking the wrong pill and hurting my baby. Please talk openly to your doctor about CoQ10 so you can have peace of mind.

My wife accidentally took her pre-pregnancy CoQ10 for a week after we found out she was pregnant, and we absolutely panicked! The doctor laughed and said it was totally fine but asked us to stop it then. So don't worry, just consult your doctor.

Did anyone else's doctor tell them to continue CoQ10 during the first trimester? I am reading so many conflicting things online and it is making me super anxious. I really want to know what instructions your clinics gave you.

From what I've been reading on medical portals, CoQ10 is generally stopped during pregnancy because of a lack of extensive clinical trials on pregnant women. It is always better to err on the side of caution and ask your ob-gyn.

After going through a high-risk pregnancy with multiple complications, I strongly advise against taking any unprescribed supplements. Even harmless-sounding antioxidants can sometimes interfere with your system. Please let your doctor make all dietary and medicinal decisions.
