Is constipation an early sign of pregnancy?

I'm trying to conceive and have noticed I'm constipated more often these days. Could this be an early sign that I'm pregnant? I'm looking for any possible indicators.

Yes, it really can be! During my first few weeks, my digestion went completely crazy and I felt so bloated and constipated. It's because of the hormone changes, so don't worry, just drink lots of water and take a home test to check.

I completely understand how stressful it is when your body acts up and you are trying to figure out what it means. Constipation is indeed a very common early sign because hormones slow down everything. Try not to stress too much and just do a simple home test to be sure.

It can be a sign because of hormonal shifts, but as someone with PCOS, I know our cycles and digestion can be very erratic anyway. It is best not to jump to conclusions based on constipation alone. A proper home test after a missed period is the safest bet.

Yes, I am also feeling so constipated this week and my period is a day late. Did anyone else feel really bloated and blocked before getting a positive test? I am a bit nervous to take the test honestly.

Yes, it is super common! 🤰 The pregnancy hormones make your digestion slow down to absorb more nutrients for the baby. Just keep sipping warm water and eat fiber! 🍏

The body goes through many beautiful changes when preparing for new life, and a slow digestion is just one of them. Keep your mind calm, eat pure and light foods, and accept these changes gracefully. Take a simple test when the time is right.

Yes, progesterone increases in early pregnancy and causes this. Instead of spending hours reading forums, just pick up a home pregnancy test on your way back from work. It's the fastest way to get a clear answer so you can manage your diet accordingly.
