Is cold coffee good for weight loss?

I'm trying to lose some weight and cutting down on sugary drinks. I really like cold coffee, but I'm wondering if it's okay to have it or if it might hinder my weight loss goals?

If you are talking about black cold brew coffee, yes, it's great before a workout or walk to boost your metabolism. But if it's the sweet, milky cold coffee, it will actually add a lot of empty calories to your day. Try to pair your caffeine with a active 45-minute daily walk if your doctor allows.

With my PCOS, I have to be extremely careful with dairy and sugar as they spike my insulin levels. Regular cold coffee from cafes is loaded with sugar, ice cream, and full-cream milk, which is not good for weight loss. I make a light version at home with almond milk and stevia occasionally, but it's best to check with your nutritionist.

I tried replacing meals with cold coffee thinking it would help me lose weight, but it just gave me acidity and hunger pangs later. Now, I prefer having warm water with lemon in the morning, which suits my stomach much better. If you want cold coffee, keep it plain and don't drink it on an empty stomach.

Look, don't worry too much about having a cup of cold coffee occasionally. Just try to make it at home using skimmed milk and very little sugar, or skip the sugar entirely. The cafe versions are basically desserts, so avoid those if you are serious about shedding some weight.

Let's be real, a standard cold coffee has almost 300 calories, which is completely counterproductive for weight loss. Unless you are drinking black cold brew, you are just drinking a liquid dessert. Cut the sugar and cream out if you actually want to see changes in your weight.
