Is coenzyme q10 safe during pregnancy?

I'm trying to conceive and my doctor suggested some supplements. I saw Coenzyme Q10 mentioned online for fertility. But if I get pregnant, is coenzyme Q10 safe to continue taking during pregnancy?

I am actually quite new to this supplement and a bit shy to ask my doctor. Is Coenzyme Q10 usually prescribed for energy during pregnancy? If anyone else has taken it, could you please share how your doctor advised you?

I know exactly how scary it is when you are trying to figure out which supplements are safe for your baby. Your anxiety is completely valid because we only want the best. Please don't worry, just take a deep breath and let your gynecologist make this decision for you.

With all these modern supplement names, it feels like we need a chemistry degree just to have a baby, haha! CoQ10 is great, but don't play scientist at home. Let your doctor prescribe the exact recipe for your daily vitamin cocktail!

My doctor suggested this but I am feeling so nervous about taking synthetic supplements right now. Did anyone else feel this constant worry about every pill during their first trimester? I really want to know if it's safe.

I took CoQ10 before conceiving to help with my PCOS egg quality, but my doctor asked me to stop it once I got a positive pregnancy test. Every pregnancy is unique, especially with PCOS, so please consult your doctor before continuing it.

Honestly, I can barely remember my own name right now due to our newborn's sleep schedule, let alone complex chemical formulas. But my wife's doctor told us to avoid any extra supplements during pregnancy unless absolutely necessary. Definitely ask your doctor first!

I always overthink these things and end up reading medical papers till 3 AM, which is probably not healthy! There is limited safety data on CoQ10 during pregnancy, so it is safer to avoid it unless your doctor specifically tells you otherwise. Stay safe!
