Is cardio important for weight loss?
My gym trainer keeps telling me to do more cardio if I want to lose weight, but I find it so boring! Is it really that important, or can I just focus on my diet?

It helps, but it is not the most important thing. Diet is where 80% of weight loss happens. If you are short on time like me, focus on eating high-protein meals and just do 20 minutes of daily activity instead of stressing over hours of cardio.
Before you start any running or intensive cardio routine, please get your blood pressure and knee joints checked by a doctor. Doing too much cardio suddenly can put stress on your heart if you aren't used to it. Safety should always come first.
I understand how overwhelming it feels when you're trying to figure out the perfect routine and worrying if you're doing enough. Please breathe. You don't need intense cardio to lose weight; even peaceful daily walks are great. Don't let fitness tracking trigger your anxiety.
Cardio can support weight loss, but without managing your plate, it won't do much. As a vegetarian, I realized I was eating too many carbs and not enough protein. Focus on portion control, add paneer or sprouts to your meals, and use cardio just as a way to stay active.

I totally get it, trying to balance workouts and hoping for quick results is so exhausting. Cardio is helpful for heart health, but it is definitely not the only way to shed weight. Be gentle with your body and focus on consistency rather than extreme workouts.
