Is calisthenics better than weights for weight loss?

I'm trying to decide between calisthenics and weights for my weight loss journey. I heard calisthenics can be more effective for burning calories. Is calisthenics actually better than weights for weight loss?

Arre dono hi badhiya hain yaar! Calisthenics se endurance badhti hai aur weights se muscle mass jaldi aata hai, jo weight loss mein help karta hai. Haan, jo tum consistency se kar pao wahi best hai, na?

Neither is objectively 'better'; they both serve different purposes for fat loss and body composition. Weights help build muscle which increases your resting metabolic rate, while calisthenics improves functional strength. It's best to consult a certified fitness trainer to see what suits your body.

I totally get it, choosing between different workouts can feel so overwhelming when you just want to lose weight. Both actually work wonders, so maybe try a mix of bodyweight movements and light weights to see what you enjoy more.

Bhai, dono hi acche hain sharir ke liye. Calisthenics mein aap apne hi sharir ka vajan uthate hain, jaise pushups aur pullups, jo bina paise ke ghar pe bhi ho sakta hai. Jo aapko thik lage woh kijiye.

Honestly, weight training is faster for building muscle, which burns more fat even when you are resting. But calisthenics is amazing for core strength and you can do it anywhere. I do a hybrid of both and the results are awesome.

Both are highly effective for burning calories. The key to weight loss is combining either of them with a proper calorie deficit diet.

In our younger days, we just did traditional bodyweight exercises and walked daily to stay in shape. Both methods are good, but as you grow older, lifting heavy weights requires more care to avoid joint injuries. Stay active in whatever way safe for you.
