Is burrata safe during pregnancy?

I'm pregnant with my first child, and I'm very careful about what I eat. I saw burrata cheese at a gourmet store and it looked delicious, but I'm unsure about soft cheeses during pregnancy. Is burrata safe to eat during pregnancy?

During my own pregnancy, I had a severe foodborne infection from unpasteurized dairy. Burrata is safe only if it is explicitly made from pasteurized milk. Please verify the label very carefully or consult your obstetrician before eating any soft cheeses.

Ho na, pregnancy during cravings are so difficult to control! Burrata is fine if it is made with pasteurized milk, which most packaged ones in Indian supermarkets actually are. Just check the packaging once before buying to be on the safer side.

Hey, don't stress too much about every single food item! As long as the burrata is pasteurized, you are totally good to go. Enjoy your delicious pasta or salad without any guilt!

Burrata is a great source of protein and fats, which is good during pregnancy. Just ensure it is pasteurized to avoid any bacterial risks. Keep up with your daily moderate walks to help with digestion after enjoying cheese.

I just delivered a healthy baby last month and I ate burrata quite a few times during my pregnancy. I just made sure to buy reputed brands that clearly state 'pasteurized milk' on the label. It is completely safe if you are careful about the source.

I am so scared of eating anything soft or creamy right now because of the risk of listeria. Did anyone else eat restaurant-served burrata during their first trimester and stay fine? I am constantly overthinking this.

I was super confused about this too during my sister's pregnancy. We checked the labels of all major cheese brands in the supermarket, and almost all of them use pasteurized milk, which is safe. Just avoid raw, artisanal farm cheeses for now.

Hello dear! Yes, you can enjoy burrata, but please make sure it is made from pasteurized milk. It is also safer to consume it at home rather than at random cafes where storage conditions might not be ideal. Wishing you a very healthy pregnancy!

If you are keeping an eye on your nutrition, pasteurized burrata is actually a solid way to get some good quality fats and protein. Just keep an eye on the portion size as it is quite calorie-dense, and make sure it's fresh.

When I was pregnant, my doctor at Fortis strictly gave me a list of cheeses to avoid. I highly recommend asking your obstetrician clearly during your next scan visit, as they know your specific health conditions and what is safest for you.

My wife craved all sorts of fancy cheese at midnight during her pregnancy, keeping me awake for hours. From what I remember from our frantic Google searches, pasteurized burrata is totally fine. Just eat it fresh and don't let it sit in the fridge for days.

Don't let the internet scare you into eating only boiled khichdi for nine months! Burrata is just fancy mozzarella with cream. As long as it is pasteurized, you and the baby can enjoy the cheese party safely.

Having dealt with hormonal issues, I always recommend being extra cautious with dairy quality. If you want to have burrata, buy it from a highly hygienic and trusted brand, and ensure it says pasteurized. Don't take risks with local unbranded cheese.

The primary concern with soft cheeses like burrata during pregnancy is the risk of listeriosis from unpasteurized dairy. In India, most commercially sold imported or local gourmet cheeses are pasteurized, but it is highly recommended to confirm with your gynecologist before introducing it to your diet.
