Be careful with extreme dietary shifts for weight loss. I once overdid fiber-rich grains without enough water intake and ended up with severe gut issues and dehydration. Please check with a doctor first, especially if you have existing metabolic or gastric conditions.

I lost 8 kgs last year and buckwheat was a big part of my diet. The secret is that it keeps you full for a really long time, so you don't feel like snacking. Try replacing your lunch rice with boiled buckwheat groats mixed with veggies.

Personally, I started eating kuttu rotis for dinner instead of normal wheat rotis and noticed that my morning bloating reduced significantly. I cannot speak on the medical side of weight loss, but it definitely worked well for my digestion and stamina.

My teenage daughter was struggling with weight gain and we started giving her buckwheat khichdi and cheelas instead of maida. It really helped her feel active and managed her weight gently without starving. It is a very wholesome option for kids too.

Buckwheat is high in protein, fiber, and essential minerals, which certainly aids satiety and weight management. However, weight loss ultimately depends on your overall daily calorie deficit. It is best to consult a certified dietitian to structure it into your daily macro requirements.

I really want to try buckwheat for weight loss but I worry if it might be too heat-producing for my body during summers. I read somewhere that kuttu is usually eaten in winters in India. Does anyone know if it is safe to eat daily in hot weather?

I initially panicked when I gained 5 kgs suddenly and thought my metabolism was ruined. But switching to buckwheat rotis and drinking lots of water brought my weight back to normal in a couple of months. Don't worry, minor weight gain is normal and easy to fix with good grains.

I log all my meals on HealthifyMe, and buckwheat is excellent because 100g of it gives you about 10g of protein and 10g of dietary fiber. It is highly volume-dense and low in fat, making it perfect for hitting your daily fiber targets. Definitely try it!

Buckwheat or kuttu is actually quite reasonably priced in local wholesale markets compared to expensive imported grains like quinoa. It is a very practical and pocket-friendly way to lose weight without spending too much on fancy diet foods.

In our family, we usually prefer local red rice, but my doctor advised me to try buckwheat to manage my weight and cholesterol levels. It is quite healthy. My mother also said eating whole grains always keeps the stomach clean and body light.
