Is brie safe during pregnancy?

My friend who's also pregnant mentioned that I should completely avoid soft cheeses like brie. I really enjoy it and was wondering why. Is brie safe to eat during pregnancy, or should I really steer clear?

Usually, soft cheeses like brie are not considered safe because of the risk of listeria bacteria. Since pregnancy already shifts your immunity, especially if you have existing conditions like thyroid issues, you must be very careful. Check with your gynecologist at your next regular checkup.

It is generally safer to avoid cold brie during these nine months! But don't worry, you can easily satisfy your cheese cravings with pasteurized cheeses like cheddar, mozzarella, or our favorite paneer. Keep smiling and take care!

My obstetrician explicitly advised against consuming mould-ripened soft cheeses like brie unless they are cooked thoroughly until steaming hot. This is because raw or unpasteurized soft cheeses can contain Listeria monocytogenes, which poses serious risks of miscarriage or fetal infection.

I actually ate a slice of brie at a party before I knew about the restrictions and I spent the whole night crying in panic. My doctor calmed me down and said since it was pasteurized, the risk was extremely low. If you ate it by mistake, don't worry, just avoid it going forward.

Brie has a high risk of listeria, so it is best to avoid it during pregnancy. Since managing blood sugar is also very critical during gestational phases, focusing on high-protein, low-fat cooked options like boiled chana or roasted paneer is much safer and healthier.

Brie cheese pregnancy mein bilkul safe nahi hai, usme bacteria ka darr rehta hai na. Baked karke kha sakte hain bolte hain, par risk kyun lena, ho na? Isse accha amul cheese ya paneer kha lo, woh mast safe hai.

My wife just gave birth last month, and we had to strictly cut out brie from our grocery list. The doctor was very clear that unless it is baked at a high temperature, it's not safe. We just stuck to regular pasteurized block cheese instead.

Garbhavastha mein bahar ka aur kacha khana nahi khana chahiye, ye soft cheese humare desh ka khana nahi hai. Isse bache ko nuksan ho sakta hai. Aap ghar ka bana taaza makkhan aur dahi khao, woh sabase surakshit aur gunkari hai.
