Is bread bad for weight loss?

I'm on a weight loss journey and cutting down on carbs, especially bread. But I really miss it. Is bread actually bad for weight loss, or can I have it sometimes without ruining my progress?

Same here, I eat sandwich almost every second day in hostel because making roti is too tough. Just switch to whole wheat or multigrain instead of white bread. It keeps u full for longer during lectures!

Honestly, it is not bad if you keep a track of the portions. I lost 8 kgs while eating brown bread almost daily for breakfast. Just don't slather it with tons of butter or high-calorie spreads, bro.

Actually I am just starting my fitness journey and got very confused about this. Is brown bread from local bakeries also fine, or should we only buy specific organic brands for weight loss?

With my thyroid issues, bread and gluten sometimes cause bad bloating and slow down my weight loss. I would suggest getting a regular blood panel done and asking your doctor if a gluten-free diet is better for your metabolism.

I tried leaving everything including roti and rice once, but it just made me weak. Bread is not the enemy, but home-made options like oats chilla or suji uttapam are much better for weight loss. If you must eat bread, just limit it to two slices a day.
