Is banana smoothie good for weight loss?

I've started making banana smoothies for breakfast to help with my weight loss journey. I usually add some milk and maybe a few nuts. Is a banana smoothie actually good for weight loss, or is it too high in calories?

Banana smoothie for weight loss? Only if your smoothie is made of air and good intentions! 😂 Jokes aside, a smoothie can be high in calories if you add too much, like milk, honey, or extra fruit. Keep it simple and track ingredients if you're serious about weight loss.

A banana smoothie *can* be good, but it depends entirely on what else you put in it. If it's just banana and water, maybe. But add milk, sugar, other fruits, and it becomes a calorie bomb. For weight loss, I prefer whole foods that keep me fuller, and protein shakes.

My nutritionist explained that while bananas are healthy, a smoothie often contains multiple bananas, milk, and sometimes sweeteners, significantly increasing calorie and sugar content. For weight loss, opting for a whole fruit is better as the fiber helps with satiety. If you make a smoothie, keep it small, add protein, and limit other high-calorie additions.

Banana smoothie sounds healthy, but when we make it at home, we add milk, maybe some sugar or honey. All that adds up. For weight loss, my wife makes simple dal-roti. Fresh fruit is better than blended with other things, makes you feel full also.

Okay, so banana smoothies can be deceptive. Blending breaks down fiber, making it less filling, and it's easy to pack in multiple fruit servings plus other calorie-dense ingredients. For weight loss, focus on whole foods and be mindful of liquid calories. A small, simple smoothie as a meal replacement, not an addition.

Ugh, I tried banana smoothies for breakfast thinking they're healthy but ended up feeling hungry quickly. Plus, if you add milk and sugar, it's so many calories! Just eating a banana and having a glass of water separately works better for me when I'm trying to cut down.

My daughter tried banana smoothies, but for weight loss, they didn't really work well. It's too easy to put a lot of calories in, especially if you add milk, honey, or other fruits. We found it's better to give her a whole fruit so she feels full with less calories.
