Is azo safe in pregnancy?

I'm in my first trimester and dealing with a UTI. My gynaecologist suggested Azo, but my mother-in-law is saying not to take anything during pregnancy. Is Azo actually safe for me and the baby?

Having dealt with hormonal issues and infections myself, I would be very cautious with OTC drugs like Azo. It's really best not to take any chances when pregnant. Please check with your doctor for a safer alternative.

Actually yaar, don't take Azo on your own. It only hides the pain but doesn't cure the actual infection, which can be risky during pregnancy. Just message your doc and get proper meds.

Please avoid Azo during pregnancy. It is safer to consult your doctor for any urinary tract infections.

My sister was strictly told by her doctor to avoid Azo when she had a UTI during pregnancy. Apparently, it's not ideal for the baby. Just get a proper prescription from your OB-GYN.

When my wife had severe urinary burning during her pregnancy, we avoided all over-the-counter tablets. The doctor gave her safe antibiotics that cleared it up in three days. Better to visit the clinic directly.

Staying active and drinking at least 3 liters of water daily can help prevent UTIs. But if you already have one, skip the self-medication like Azo and consult your gynecologist immediately.

Instead of spending money on imported OTC pills like Azo, just go to your regular doctor. A simple urine test will tell them exactly what infection it is, and they will give you cheap, safe Indian medicines.

Urinary infections are quite common, especially if you have high blood sugar. But please don't use Azo without asking. Let your doctor check your urine and give you a pregnancy-safe treatment plan.
