Is azelaic acid pregnancy safe?

I'm currently pregnant and have been dealing with some acne, which is really bothering me. My dermatologist recommended azelaic acid, but I'm worried about using anything during pregnancy. Is azelaic acid pregnancy safe?

Haan, it is actually considered one of the safest options for acne during pregnancy. Mere dermatologist ne bhi bola tha ki prescription check karva lo par generally safe hota hai. Baki hard chemical treatments se bacho abhi, simple routine hi sahi hai na.

My wife used a mild cream containing this during her second trimester for pigmentation. It is safe, but instead of buying expensive skin serums, just ask your regular doctor during your next visit. A simple pharmacy cream is much cheaper and works the same.

I had terrible pregnancy breakouts and my doctor specifically put me on azelaic acid because salicylic acid was a big no. It works slowly but safely. Make sure you use a good mineral sunscreen during the day because your skin becomes extra sensitive now.

I can only speak from my own experience, but my gynaecologist gave me the green light for 10% azelaic acid cream. It didn't cause any irritation. I would still suggest taking the tube to your doctor just to be 100% sure.

According to most pregnancy-safe ingredient checkers and medical apps, azelaic acid is category B, meaning it's highly safe. It's great for rosacea and acne. Still, logging it in your health app or showing the tube to your doctor is always smart.

Don't stress too much about the skin changes, it is totally normal! Azelaic acid is a lifesaver and completely safe to use. Just chill, stick to a simple moisturizer, and enjoy this beautiful phase.

Honestly, my wife used it and her skin looked great, while I looked like a zombie from sleepless nights. It's safe, yes. Just buy it and use it so you have one less thing to worry about while you still can sleep.

You can use it without worrying too much. Doctors usually recommend azelaic acid as a safe option for skin issues during these months. Just check with your gynaecologist once before starting.

Yes, it is! It's like a holy grail for pregnancy acne when you can't use retinoids. Super safe and skin-friendly. Just apply a tiny pea-sized amount and you are good to go!

When my daughter was expecting, her skin got very dry and she had breakouts. Her doctor said azelaic acid is absolutely fine to use in mild percentages. Just don't experiment with too many new products right now, keep it basic.
