Is apple sauce good for weight loss?

I'm trying to lose some weight, and I'm looking for healthy snack options. My friend suggested applesauce, saying it's low in calories and filling. Is this true, or is it just another myth?

For weight loss, especially with PCOS, managing sugar and insulin is key. Applesauce can be tricky. If it's unsweetened and homemade, it's better than sugary snacks, but a whole apple is still superior because of the intact fiber. Fibre helps with satiety. So, while it's not 'bad', it's not the best weight loss food either. Choose wisely!

Not really. Applesauce, especially the store-bought kind, often has a lot of added sugar, which defeats the purpose of weight loss. Even unsweetened, it's basically pureed fruit, so you miss out on the fiber you'd get from a whole apple, which is what keeps you full. Stick to whole fruits.

For weight loss, the goal is to eat filling foods with fewer calories. Applesauce can be tricky because it doesn't have the chewiness or fiber of a whole apple, so it might not fill you up as much. And if it's got added sugar, that's extra calories. I usually give my kids whole fruit, it's just better.

It's so hard to navigate all the different health advice, especially for weight loss! Applesauce *can* be a lower-calorie snack than some other options, but you really need to check for added sugars. Also, a whole apple is generally better because the fiber helps you feel fuller for longer. Don't stress too much, just try to make informed choices!

If you're aiming for weight loss, stick to whole foods. Applesauce, even unsweetened, is a more processed form of fruit. You lose the satisfying chew and some fiber, making it less filling. A whole apple is better for satiety and keeping blood sugar stable. Pair it with some protein and hit the gym!

For weight loss, a whole apple is usually better than applesauce! 🍎 You get more fiber which keeps you feeling full and satisfied for longer! If you do have applesauce, make sure it's unsweetened. Keep smiling! 😊

Ghar ki cheezein hamesha best hoti hain. Agar ghar mein bina cheeni ke applesauce banao toh thoda theek hai, but poora apple khaana zyada faydemand hai for weight loss, fiber milta hai. Par agar serious weight issues hain, toh doctor ya dietician se milna hi sabse achha hai, unko sab pata hota hai.

From my experience, when I was trying to lose weight, applesauce didn't really help much. I'd eat it, and then still feel hungry pretty soon after. Switched to eating whole apples instead, and that kept me fuller for longer. Just my two cents, everyone's body is different.

Weight management is crucial for conditions like high BP. Applesauce, especially with added sugars, can contribute to calorie intake without providing much satiety. It's always better to eat whole fruits and monitor your overall diet. Regular walks and doctor checkups are more effective than relying on a single food for weight loss.

Weight kam karna hai toh sabse pehle packet waale khaane peene se door raho. Applesauce agar dabba band waala hai toh usme cheeni hoti hai, woh achha nahi. Ghar pe bina cheeni ke bana sakte ho toh theek hai, par phir bhi poora apple khao. Pet bhi bharega aur sasta bhi padega.

I totally get why you'd ask, it sounds like a healthy option! But for weight loss, you actually want to maximize fiber and minimize concentrated sugars. Applesauce often lacks the full fiber of a whole apple and can have hidden sugars. So, while it's not terrible, a fresh apple would probably be more effective for satiety.

Oh, I was wondering the same thing! I thought applesauce would be a good low-cal snack. But reading these replies, it seems like the whole apple is the way to go because of the fiber. That makes sense, you feel fuller with a whole apple for sure.
