Is alpha hydroxy safe during pregnancy?

I'm pregnant, and my skin has been looking a bit dull. I usually use products with alpha hydroxy acids, but I'm not sure if they are safe to use during pregnancy. Can I continue using them?

Oh, this is something I've been wondering too! I have some AHA products I love, but now that I'm expecting, I'm so scared to use anything. Has anyone else avoided it completely or did your doctor say certain percentages are okay?

See, with pregnancy, everything changes. Not just skin stuff, but even things like blood pressure can get tricky. Best to ask your gynaecologist about any product you're unsure of. They know your full health history.

Hey, don't stress too much about it! It's super common to be careful about what goes on your skin when you're pregnant. Maybe just switch to something super gentle for a while. You can always go back to your AHAs later!

It's always better to be safe than sorry during pregnancy. Maybe just stick to very mild, natural products for now? Your skin might be more sensitive anyway.

Honestly, for such specific things, a quick call to your doctor or even a pharmacist is the best. They can tell you for sure. Don't waste money buying new products if your current ones are fine, but safety first for the baby, na?
