Is a bagel with cream cheese healthy for weight loss?

I'm trying to lose some weight and follow a healthy diet. Someone suggested I try having bagels with cream cheese for breakfast. Is a bagel with cream cheese actually healthy for weight loss, or is it just a myth?

Maida and heavy cream cheese are very heavy for the stomach and can slow down your digestion. For weight loss, our traditional warm poha or upma with lots of vegetables is much lighter and healthier. Eat fresh, home-cooked breakfast instead.

A bagel with cream cheese is super yummy, but unfortunately it is quite high in refined carbs and calories! If you love it, maybe have it as an occasional weekend treat and stick to oats or eggs for daily weight loss goals.

I started making whole-grain options for my kids instead of regular bagels. If you are trying to lose weight, please avoid standard bagels as they are mostly maida. A healthy besan chilla is a much better choice for breakfast.

A standard bagel has about 300 calories of refined carbs, and cream cheese adds another 100-150 calories of fat. It is not the best for weight loss. If you do eat it, make sure you go for a good 45-minute brisk walk later to burn off those extra calories.

Our elders always advised eating simple, locally made food like ragi mudde or steamed idlis for maintaining a healthy weight. A bagel is foreign and quite heavy on calories. Better to consult a dietitian for a proper meal plan.

Actually, it's a total calorie bomb, yaar. Bagels are basically dense maida, and cream cheese has too much saturated fat. If you are serious about weight loss, skip it and go for basic eggs or idli.

I used to eat bagels thinking they are healthy, but I noticed I would feel bloated and gain weight instead. Did anyone else also feel extremely sluggish and heavy after eating bagels for breakfast?

I am new to dieting and trying to lose weight. Is it okay if I eat a multi-grain bagel once a week, or should I completely avoid bread and cheese to see results?

A bagel with cream cheese lacks the essential protein and fiber needed to keep you satisfied during a weight loss diet. Try replacing it with sprouts or boiled egg whites, which are much better for your metabolism.

While it tastes wonderful, a bagel with cream cheese is not ideal for weight loss due to the high refined flour content. A better practical alternative is a slice of whole-wheat toast with a little paneer or a boiled egg, which keeps you full for longer.

Bro, bagels are basically carbs on carbs. It's super hard to lose weight eating that, trust me. Better to grab some boiled eggs or a protein shake if you want something quick before college.

A bagel can cause a sudden spike in blood sugar levels because it is made of refined flour. If you are managing your weight or blood sugar, it is far safer to choose high-fiber foods like oats bran or ragi instead.
