Is 8k steps a day good for weight loss?

Been trying to get back in shape after a long time. Someone told me that walking 8k steps daily is really effective for weight loss. Is 8k steps a day actually good enough for losing weight?

I go to a senior cardiologist at Kokilaben hospital, and he always says steps are good for general health, but weight loss depends heavily on your diet and heart rate. You should get a basic checkup done and ask your doctor what physical activity level suits your body best.

I totally get it, trying to fit in those steps with a busy schedule is so exhausting. 8,000 steps is a huge win and you should be proud of reaching it. Just take it one day at a time, your body will slowly adapt and you'll see the change.

Bro, 8k steps is actually pretty sweet! I barely hit 3k during exams unless I walk around the campus. Definitely stick to it, it burns decent calories and keeps you active.

Haan, 8k steps to bahut badhiya hai! Par sath me thoda khane pe bhi control rakhna padega na. Sirf chalne se weight loss thodi na hoga agar baad me chole bhature kha liye!

At 51, doing 8k steps feels like I climbed Mount Everest, my knees start making funny noises. But honestly, it has helped me keep my weight stable. Just don't push too hard if your joints complain.

Please be careful if you are suddenly starting this routine. I overdid the walking without checking my joint alignment and ended up with severe ligament issues. It is always safer to consult a doctor or a physio first to ensure your posture is fine.
