Is 6000 steps a day good for weight loss?

I've started walking more to lose some weight, and I usually hit around 6000 steps a day. My friend suggested I need to do more, but I'm trying to be consistent first. Is 6000 steps a day good for weight loss, or should I increase it?

I totally get it, starting a weight loss journey is hard and tracking steps can feel overwhelming. 6000 steps is a fantastic starting point to get active! Don't pressure yourself to hit 10k immediately, just be consistent and celebrate this progress.

While 6000 steps is good physical activity, it is always better to get a medical evaluation first. When I visited my doctor at Kokilaben Hospital, they explained that my weight gain was linked to other factors. Ask your doctor clearly what exercise intensity fits your body profile.

Yes, 6000 steps is definitely a good starting level. Just make sure to combine it with a slight calorie deficit in your meals to see steady weight loss results.

Don't fall for internet claims that walking exactly 6000 or 10000 steps is a magic cure for weight loss. True weight loss depends on your metabolic rate, diet, and general health. You should consult a qualified nutritionist instead of relying on generic online step targets.

I was walking 6000 steps daily but still gaining weight, which is when I got tested and found out I had thyroid issues. If you are struggling with weight loss despite being active, please get your thyroid and vitamin levels checked and follow up with a doctor.
