Is 5000 steps a day good for weight loss?

I'm trying to lose some weight and started walking more. I manage about 5000 steps a day, sometimes more. Is 5000 steps a day good for weight loss, or do I need to increase my activity a lot more?

Honestly, 5000 steps is a great starting point to active life, but for actual weight loss you might need to push a bit more or check your diet. Everyone's body and metabolic rate are different, so consulting a general physician or a certified nutritionist is the best way to get a customized plan.

As someone managing thyroid issues, I can tell you that even 5000 steps felt like a task initially. But for weight loss, you need to first make sure your hormone levels are in check. Please get your TSH and other blood panels done regularly and follow up with your doctor, because weight issues often stem from there.

Please be careful while suddenly starting any new physical routine. I tried rushing into heavy walking and ended up with a bad knee strain that took months to heal. It is always safer to get a quick physical checkup done by a doctor before you start pushing your body for weight loss.

5k steps is better than zero steps, but to really burn fat you should gradually aim for 8k to 10k steps and add some basic strength training. Just make sure you don't have any joint or knee pain. If your doctor allows regular moderate exercise, slowly level up your daily activity.

I tried everything from warm honey-lemon water in the morning to walking thousands of steps, so I get the struggle. 5000 steps is good for blood circulation, but real weight loss happens when you combine it with simple ghar ka khana and portion control. Keep doing the steps but focus on healthy eating too.

Actually, I was searching the same thing last week because my desk job leaves me zero time. Most articles say 5000 is just 'low active' and we need closer to 10k for weight loss, which sounds so hard. Maybe we can try to hit 7k first and see how it goes?

Aap continuous walk karte ho ya normal day-to-day work me complete hota hai? If it is a dedicated brisk walk of 5000 steps, it definitely helps with cardiovascular health and minor calorie burn. Don't worry about big numbers right now, just stay consistent and enjoy the process.
