Is 3 pounds a week weight loss healthy?

I've started a new diet and exercise plan, and I've been losing around 3 pounds a week. I'm happy with the progress, but I want to make sure it's healthy. Is 3 pounds a week weight loss healthy, or is it too fast?

3 pounds a week is generally on the higher side of what's considered healthy. Most experts recommend 1-2 pounds per week for sustainable and safe weight loss. If you're consistently losing more, it might be too aggressive.

It's easy to get caught up in losing weight fast, I've been there. But losing 3 pounds a week consistently can sometimes lead to feeling really tired and irritable. Make sure you're listening to your body and not pushing too hard.

3 pounds a week? Only if I somehow manage to actually get 8 hours of sleep and not stress eat, which is a miracle in itself! Jokes aside, that sounds a bit fast, unless you're starting from a very high weight.

For most people, losing 3 pounds a week might be a bit too quick for long-term health. It's better to aim for a steady 1-2 pounds with a balanced diet and regular walks. That way, you don't shock your body and it's easier to maintain.

Honestly, when I tried to lose 3 pounds a week, I just felt super hungry and tired all the time. It was not sustainable for me. I toned it down to 1-2 pounds and felt much better and actually kept the weight off.
