Is 3 hours of sleep better than none?

Sometimes I have late-night study sessions for my exams and only manage to get about 3 hours of sleep. My friends say it's better than nothing. Is 3 hours of sleep better than none, or should I just stay up?

Haan, bhai, definitely. Three hours is absolutely better than zero. Even a short nap or a few hours can help your body and mind reset a little. Just try to make up for it with longer, better sleep in the coming days.

Oh, I've wondered this too. I sometimes only get a few hours when I'm studying. So, even a little bit helps? Does it make a difference what time those 3 hours are?

Yes, absolutely. Any sleep is beneficial when you're super tired. It gives your body a small break. Hope you can get more sleep soon.

From my own experience with crazy work hours, yes, 3 hours is way better than none. It prevents total burnout. Try to make those 3 hours really good quality sleep – dark room, no phone. And then try to get back on track the next night.

If this is a regular thing, that's not good. Especially with my thyroid issues, lack of sleep makes everything worse. While 3 hours is better than nothing in an emergency, if you're consistently getting so little, please talk to a doctor and check your vitals. It could be a symptom.
