Is 13 hour fasting effective for weight loss?

I've heard about intermittent fasting for weight loss and was thinking of trying a 13-hour fast overnight. Is 13 hour fasting effective for weight loss, or do I need to fast longer?

13-hour fasting? I can barely go 3 hours without thinking about food! If I fast for 13 hours, I'd probably be too weak to even think about losing weight. Maybe it works for some super disciplined people, but for me, I'd rather just eat less and sleep more!

Haan beta, some people do fasting for weight loss, it can help control overeating. 13 hours is a common practice, like just skipping late dinner or early breakfast. But it's not for everyone, especially if you have other health issues. Listen to your body and don't push too hard.

13-hour fasting, like 16:8 intermittent fasting, can definitely be effective for some individuals by naturally reducing overall calorie intake. However, for vegetarians, ensuring adequate protein and nutrient intake within the eating window becomes even more crucial. Always prioritize whole, unprocessed foods and stay hydrated. It's not a magic bullet, but a tool.

Hey! Yeah, 13-hour fasting is a pretty common intermittent fasting schedule, like stopping eating after dinner and starting late morning. Many people find it helps with weight loss because it naturally reduces their eating window. But don't stress too much if you miss it sometimes, consistency over perfection! Just make sure your meals are balanced when you do eat.

While intermittent fasting can be effective for weight loss for many, always be cautious. I once tried a diet without checking with a doctor and ended up with complications. If you have any underlying health conditions, especially diabetes or blood pressure issues, please get a proper checkup and advice from a doctor before trying prolonged fasting. Don't just blindly follow trends.

My family often talks about fasting for spiritual reasons, but for weight loss, it's a bit different. 13 hours is a manageable window for many, and it can help. But, it is very important to consult with a doctor or a dietitian, especially if you have any health concerns. What works for one may not work for another, my dear.
