Is 10k steps a day good for weight loss?

I've been trying to lose some weight and someone suggested walking 10,000 steps daily. Is 10k steps a day actually good for weight loss, or is it just a myth?

I've heard about the 10k steps rule so much! I'm trying to hit it too, but some days it feels impossible with my work. Does it actually make a big difference for weight loss or is it more for general fitness? Curious to know.

It's a good general goal for activity, but for specific weight loss, it depends on many factors like diet, current weight, and other health conditions. Before starting any new intense regimen, always consult with your doctor or a dietician. Don't just blindly follow trends.

For sure, it helps! My son started doing 10k steps, and along with cutting down on junk food, he's seen good results. It's not magic, but it definitely adds to calorie burn. Just make sure your shoes are comfy, otherwise, feet hurt like anything!

Haan, 10k steps is a very practical goal. Instead of expensive gym, just walking every day, using stairs instead of lift, parking little far from office, these small things add up. Plus, control on ghar ka khana is also important. Both together give good results.

Yes, 10k steps is a great target for increasing daily activity and calorie expenditure, which is crucial for weight loss. However, diet plays an equally, if not more, important role. Think of it as a helpful tool, but not the only solution. Hydrate well and wear good footwear!

Walking is a beautiful way to connect with your body and breath. 10,000 steps is a good physical activity that supports metabolism and overall well-being. Coupled with mindful eating and gentle pranayama, it can definitely aid in healthy weight management. Listen to your body, always.

10k steps? Sounds like a dream, I barely hit 2k on a good day, ha ha! Honestly, any movement is better than no movement for us middle-aged folks. If you can manage 10k, it'll definitely help shed some kgs, especially when you also close your mouth after 7 PM!

I've heard varying opinions on 10k steps. It's a general guideline. For personalized weight loss, visiting a good hospital and consulting a nutritionist or a doctor is key. They can tell you exactly what step count or exercise is ideal for YOUR body and health condition. Don't self-diagnose your exercise needs.
