Is 10 pounds a month good weight loss?

I'm trying to lose weight slowly and steadily, aiming for about 10 pounds a month. My trainer said it's a good target, but I want to double-check. Is losing 10 pounds a month a healthy and good rate?

10 pounds (about 4.5 kg) a month is quite a significant loss. While rapid weight loss can sometimes happen, it's generally recommended to aim for 1-2 pounds a week for sustainable and healthy weight loss. For me, with BP, slow and steady changes, along with regular checkups, are always better than drastic ones. Consult your doctor to ensure it's healthy for your body type.

Haye Ram, 10 pounds a month? I wish! That sounds like a dream for me. But seriously, it sounds like a lot, maybe too fast? My doctor always says slow and steady wins the race, especially as you get older. You don't want to lose muscle by losing too fast, hai na?

With PCOS, weight loss can be tricky, and sometimes rapid changes aren't sustainable or healthy in the long run. 10 pounds (approx 4.5 kg) a month is on the higher side of what's usually recommended for steady, healthy loss. It's really important to talk to a doctor or a nutritionist to make sure it's good for *your* body and not causing any other issues, especially with hormonal balance.

Be very careful, yaar. While 10 pounds sounds impressive, losing that much weight in a month can sometimes be too fast and not healthy in the long run. Don't trust every diet plan you see online. Always, always verify with a doctor or a qualified dietitian to ensure it's safe and sustainable for your body.

I was losing weight recently, and my nutritionist told me that aiming for about 1-2 pounds (0.5-1 kg) per week is considered healthy and sustainable. So, 10 pounds (around 4.5 kg) in a month might be a bit aggressive. It's possible, especially initially, but just make sure you're doing it safely with proper diet and exercise, not by starving yourself.
