Is 10 000 steps a day good for weight loss?

I've started tracking my steps and trying to reach 10,000 steps a day. A friend told me it's great for shedding kgs. Is 10,000 steps a day actually good for weight loss, or should I also focus on other things?

Yes, 10,000 steps a day is a very good habit for overall health and definitely aids in weight loss by increasing your calorie burn. It's a natural way to keep active. Combine it with a healthy, home-cooked diet. If you have any joint pain or other issues making it difficult, consult a doctor first.

I've heard about 10,000 steps being a good goal. Is it truly effective for weight loss, or is it more for general fitness? And does the intensity of the steps matter, like brisk walking versus just strolling?

For my kids and myself, we try to incorporate more movement into our day. 10,000 steps is a very good goal. It helps burn calories and also improves mood. For weight loss, consistent effort and making it a fun family activity can really help, along with sensible eating.

Dekho bhai, 10,000 steps is a solid baseline for activity. For weight loss, it helps burn calories, no doubt. But it has to be coupled with a decent diet. Just walking won't cut it if you're eating junk all day, haan.

My doctor actually recommended aiming for 10,000 steps for general health and as a component of weight management. It helps increase your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE). However, for significant weight loss, it should be combined with a calorie-controlled diet and possibly some strength training. It's a great start though!

For me, aiming for 10,000 steps has really helped me feel more energetic and generally healthier. I didn't track weight loss strictly, but I noticed I felt lighter and more active. It's a good target if you can manage it daily.

Honestly, 10,000 steps is a fantastic target! It keeps you active and definitely aids in weight loss, but don't stress too much if you miss it sometimes. Just make sure you're consistent most days and also watching what you eat. It's all about balance, right?

Haan na, 10,000 steps is a great goal! It's not just for weight loss but for overall fitness too. You burn calories and also feel more energetic. Just make sure you're comfortable and increase steps gradually if you're not used to it.
